The Hand Me Downs return to Boatyard
The Hand Me Downs are a local Fermanagh group with a sound they describe as “folkabilly” — combining harmonies and early rock ‘n’ roll with more modern songs given their own twist.
The band have been performing locally for more than a decade, with reports of their live performances in Enniskillen dating back to 2013. Their energetic approach has seen them put their own style on an eclectic mix of music over the years.
November’s event also won’t be their first appearance at Boatyard. The band previously featured as part of a festive event at the distillery, making their upcoming Live at the Still show a return to the Lough Erne venue.
Live music beside Lough Erne
Located at Tully Bay Marina, around 15 minutes from Enniskillen, The Boatyard Distillery has developed its Live at the Still programme alongside its distillery and visitor experiences.
Rather than a traditional pub or nightclub gig, the November event will give those attending the chance to enjoy The Hand Me Downs inside the working distillery, with live music and Boatyard cocktails forming part of the evening.
For anyone travelling from Enniskillen, the ticket option including a bus transfer from The Castle could also make the event particularly convenient.
With The Hand Me Downs’ energetic folkabilly sound, cocktails and one of Fermanagh’s more unusual live-music settings, Live at the Still could be one to add to the calendar this November.
Anyone interested in attending should check the latest ticket information directly with The Boatyard Distillery before travelling.
