Customer Assistant jobs at new Lakelands store

Lidl is offering a choice of 10, 20, 30 or 35-hour contracts, with weekend work also available and different shift patterns depending on availability.

The Customer Assistant positions start at £13.30 per hour, with additional payments available depending on the hours and days worked.

Lidl’s advertised Year 1 rates are £13.30 for basic hours, £16.63 for unsocial hours between 11pm and 6am, and £19.95 for overtime and Sundays.

The retailer says a standard 30-hour contract can provide earnings of more than £490 per week when unsocial hours are included.

Successful applicants could work a mixture of morning, middle and late shifts, carrying out duties including serving customers, working on tills, stocking shelves, preparing the store for opening and maintaining stock and cleanliness standards.

Do you need retail experience?

Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred but not essential, with Lidl instead highlighting qualities including reliability, good customer service skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants must be 18 or over, as Customer Assistants are required to sell alcohol as part of the role.

The positions also include 29 days’ annual holiday on a pro-rata basis, including bank holidays, a company pension and opportunities for career development.

How to attend the Lidl recruitment day

Anyone hoping to take part cannot simply turn up at the Killyhevlin without applying first.

Lidl states that all attendees must submit an application for the Enniskillen Lakelands Customer Assistant vacancy before attending the event.

Applicants should then bring a copy of their CV with them to the Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel & Lodges between 4pm and 9pm on Thursday.

Apply through Lidl’s official careers website

With fast-tracked interviews and job offers being made on the day, the recruitment event provides an opportunity for local jobseekers interested in joining the team at Lidl’s new Enniskillen store.
