Enniskillen is preparing to turn pink once again this September as Cancer Focus Northern Ireland brings its Pink Run back to St Angelo Airport for a second year.

Following the first Enniskillen Pink Run in 2025, the charity is hoping to make this year’s event even bigger, with more people being encouraged to sign up and help raise vital funds for breast cancer services here in Fermanagh.

The second Enniskillen Pink Run will take place at St Angelo Airport on Sunday 27th September 2026, with organisers hoping the event will help contribute towards an ambitious £80,000 fundraising target for local breast cancer services this October.

All money raised in Fermanagh will stay in the county, supporting Cancer Focus NI’s Therapeutic Cancer Support Centre in Enniskillen and local people and families affected by cancer.

More than 4,200 visits to Fermanagh cancer centre

Money raised through events such as the Pink Run supports the charity’s Therapeutic Cancer Support Centre in Enniskillen, which opened in May 2025.

Cancer Focus NI says the centre has already welcomed more than 4,200 visits, with people accessing a wide range of practical and emotional support.

Services include counselling, support groups, professional bra-fitting appointments, family support, art therapy and health checks.

The centre also has two Cancer Specialist Nurses who can provide therapeutic and emotional support, information, advice and guidance to people affected by cancer.

A patient driving service provides door-to-door transport from home to hospital for people who are unable to travel independently.

The centre is open for people to drop in Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 5pm.

£60 could fund an hour of breast cancer support

Cancer Focus NI says £60 could fund one hour of breast cancer support at the Enniskillen centre, including services such as counselling, bra fitting and family support.

Participants in the Pink Run are therefore being encouraged not only to take part but to fundraise among friends, relatives, colleagues, schools, sports teams and community groups.

Krystle Corrigan, Fermanagh Fundraising Events Officer with Cancer Focus NI, said the charity’s mission is simple: to support local people and their families living with cancer.

She thanked those who have already registered and are fundraising, adding that every pound raised helps Cancer Focus NI continue providing cancer support services to people locally.

Cancer Focus NI says that for every £1 raised, 80p is invested directly towards the delivery of its local cancer services in Fermanagh.

Pink Run returns for second year

Enniskillen Mix covered the arrival of the first-ever Enniskillen Pink Run in 2025, when the event was introduced to raise money for the newly opened cancer support centre.

Now returning for a second year, organisers are hoping to build on that first event and encourage even more of Fermanagh to get involved.

This year’s Pink Run is proudly sponsored by Encirc, CBFuels, Balcas and Enniskillen Airport, with St Angelo Airport once again providing the setting for the event.

The run also comes ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, with participants helping Cancer Focus NI encourage more people to be breast aware while raising money for services available locally.

With less than two weeks until the event, there is still time for people to register and get behind the second Enniskillen Pink Run.

Most importantly, all funds raised in Fermanagh will stay in Fermanagh, helping Cancer Focus NI continue providing free support to local people affected by cancer and their families.
